INDECE CHOIR

The Choir Introduced

The Choir was born out of a remarkable academic achievement by a core group of five (5) handsome guys from the Independence Hall of KNUST – the hall of pacesetting gentlemen. It was conceived by some able members of a rival group - the Arkasel, at the opening of the second semester of the second year in 1995. Until then, this unique group, which came together by virtue of their affiliation to the noble hall, used to be one of several such discussion groups existing within a unique class (Civil ’98), a class full of humour and, of course, of academic prowess. For Arkasel to recognise and pay respect to this group speaks volume of the abilities of the Choir. In fact, it says it all.

The Choir grew from strength to strength, composing more entertaining gaudeamusical stanzas and incorporating fresh feminine choruses. Later in the course when most senior students were becoming fed up with campus life and its numerous ALLUTAs, some members of the Choir attempted to draw some inspiration by engaging in some sort of worldly (or campus) occultism namely “INTE-BOR”, an unholy alliance. Although such practices threatened the virility of the Choir, its nearness to the “PAA JOE” stadium (the powerhouse) was all it needed to invoke divine intervention to redeem the Choir.

Eventually, the famous Choir did not disappoint its numerous admirers.

If you are interested to know how members of the Choir have fared since graduation and their current status (including marital of course), then don’t forget to add this site (www.knustcivil98.netfirms.com) to your favourites and watch OUT.

The Choir will also welcome views that members of other groups had about it. Simply go to the guest book, sign it and add your comments, please.
